this is a must have for anyone taking chemistry, brushing up on chemistry or just wanting to know something about chemistry. A GREAT set of books. They came in a timely manner and great condition. I would recommend this seller to anyone!

I bought this and many different quickie guide for some of my less motivated students. They like the Chemistry for Dummies best. It isn't my favorite. But the thing is the kids will read it, cover to cover when they won't read anything else. That's got to mean something about how the book is written. Anything that helps my kids is a positive.

I took a chemistry 121 class one quarter and did okay in it. I bought this book because I thought it would help me out but it really didn't. It made things that instructor taught confusing. If you're taking a chemistry class right now, don't buy it. However, if you've never taken one before; its decent because its teaches about all general areas.

Havent taken a chemistry course in 15 years....this was helpful. Need to do the workbook along with reading the book.

IT IS A GOOD BOOK. EASY TO UNDERSTAND. I WOULD NOT SUGGEST THAT IT IS A SUBSTITUTE FOR A REGULAR TEXTBOOK OR CLASS. HOWEVER IT MAKES A GOOD SUPPLEMENT. IT WOULD ALSO BE GOOD FOR SOMEONE THAT JUST WANTS TO LEARN SOMETHING ABOUT CHEMISTRY.

I returned to school for a hard science degree after another (30 year) non-science career. I found the workbook to be especially helful after having not had chemistry since high school in the early 70's.
