I had never read any Melody Carlson books before, so when I chose this one out at a christian bookstore, I had no idea (except a slight one from the reveiw on the back) what an amazing book this is! If you don't like it, well than you must not really like books! This is a suspenseful and exciting book, that I highly recommend! I am now rushing to order the next two books!

NOTE: this is a second book in a series, it might be easier for you to read the first one first

CHERISHED WISH, one of Melody Carlson's first novels, is wonderful! If you're looking for a wholesome Christian series for pre-teens or even teens, you'll find it in the Allison Chronicles.
Be sure to grab this find while you can- these books are incredibly difficult to locate, since they're out of print. Carlson has expressed interest in continuing the series in the future, but I wouldn't wait to purchase this book until then. I definitely recommend that you buy this product right away, so you avoid the chances of not being able to find it again.

I've read all four Allison Chronicles. They are my favourite books! Cherished Wish is about a 14 year old,Allison O'Brian. She is just reunited with her father who is supposedly dead. She is just getting to know her father when her movie-star mother's secretary comes to take her to summer camp.After camp Allison starts spending time with her mother and finds out she actually cares about her mother! Does she want to live with her mom? Would she rather live with her dad and live a normal life? Find out all these things in Cherished Wish!
