This review is from: Cherokee (Audio CD)
The title song is much longer than the original version and sounds great, plus the song Pompton Turnpike is a classic as well. The sound is suprisingly crisp and the remastering job is excellent. If you are a fan of swing and big band jazz, this would be an album to consider adding to your collection.

Hear this rendition of Charlie Barnetts' "Cherokee" and you will be able to replay it in your head forever. One of the greatest of the 1940s jazz recordings. It's a pleasure forever - you can bring it back whenever you're a mind to.
