You don't need an FCC license to use this Family Radio Service (FRS) radio, which transmits on 14 channels with 47 privacy codes per channel. Features include channel scan and a keypad lock to ensure you don't accidentally hit the talk button. Priority scan allows you to program in three channels to scan.

The Cherokee FR460, what a great family two-way radio. It's got everything you need to communicate to your friends and family on a days outting. Whether it's skiing, biking, hiking, or any other activity, this radio is perfect. 16 channels and 47 CTCs there is no way that you will find it a problem with too many people using your channel, it's so easy to change channel if you need to. And if you're worried about it falling apart then let me reasure you, it will last even through the hardest of treatment. As a family radio I am very happy to have purchased myself a pair, they have proved themselves time and time again.
