The Cherokee, king of Indian Tribes of North America,

This review is from: The Cherokee (Indians of North America) (Library Binding)
Author of many books and articles on southeastern Indians, Theda Perdue is a well-known specialist of the history of the Cherokee Nation. Her book "The Cherokee" is written specifically for young adult readers. However, because it contains an extraordinary panel of beautiful photographs and because it summarizes very well the tribulations of probably the larger Indian Nation of North America, Perdue's book is a "must" for the people not well acquainted with the advancement of the Five Great Civilized Tribes of United States.
Serge P. Noirsain, Belgian historian. Author of "La flotte européenne de la Confédération sudiste" and "La Confédération sudiste, mythes et réalités".

This review is from: The Cherokees (Indians of North America, Heritage Edition) (Hardcover)
This is a must read for all students of Cherokee history. It's written for younger readers, but still holds and informs for adults.
