A great source...,

This review is from: Cherokee Legends and the Trail of Tears (Paperback)
This book brought me closer to the truth of what happened during the awful times of the Cherokee removal. It is unfortunate that our government had mistreated the wonderful Natives of this land. I recommend this book for anyone who wants a clear understanding of what happened in American history. It is a shame that schools do not provide enough truth about the Native Americans.

This is an excellent book . It speaks of some of our Legends ,and touches
on parts of the Trail of Tears and some of the dreadful things our ancestors went through to make it.Many did not.

This is a booklet on Cherokee Legends and the Trail of Tears. It tells several legends in a clear succinct format. This is not a storybook. I found it helpful for me to know some of the Cherokee legends but not to read in a class. The most interesting passage is an account by John B. Burnett of the treatment of the Cherokee during the Trail of Tears. He recounts his birthday and how he was arrested for defending an elderly Cherokee woman being beaten by a soldier.

A wonderful book that touches on many legends and encounters the Cherokee believe and had to suffer through. If you are looking to learn more of the Cherokee ways then this is a great book to pick up.

I have several Indian things on my bedroom walls. Also have Indian romance novels too. I love to read and that is usually what I buy.

This book did what it said, but left you wondering more "why's". A dry read, but if your are looking to start you investigation into legends it is a good starting point.
