This review is from: Cherokee New Testament (ABS #240, In Cherokee alphabet) (Paperback)
The Cherokee New Testament book with this 1970's era book cover are slightly easier to read than the newest editions which seem to be made from a copy of this book. The number of degenerating copy generations has resulted in many of the words being almost illegible in the most recent printings. If you are interested in reading the book, this book is the best there is that is easily available.
Older 1st edition printings from 1860 are very rare and typically run between $100 to $1000, but are of very high quality in legibility. For the language researcher, Google Books has a copy of the original text, complete with an enormous number of typographical errors and misspellings that have been corrected by the time this book has been published.
