This review is from: Cherokee Thoughts: Honest and Uncensored (Paperback)
Robert J. Conley is a cantankerous old Cherokee, but he addresses subjects in which that stance is perfectly understandable and appropriate. Indians in general and the Cherokee in particular have been jerked around by the US government and Americans of European ancestry since the first of them arrived. However the Indians have gotten in a few licks along the way.
This book will tell you a lot of stuff you don't know in an interesting way. One of the things you will learn is that the American history you learned in school is biased. Surprise!
