Two lives depended upon him....,

This review is from: Cherokee Thunder (Silhouette Intimate Moments) (Paperback)
FROM THE BACK COVER: Micah Parish: Deputy Sheriff. Six feet, four inches of solid muscle. Half-Cherokee. Tough, proud. A loner.
Faith Williams: Mother-to-be. Fragile-looking blonde running for her life. Quiet, scared of her own shadow. Protecting the people of Conard County was Deputy Sheriff Micah Parish's job, but protecting Faith Williams was about to become his life's work. Pregnant, alone and stalked by her abusive ex-husband, Faith needed more than a place to hide and a strong shoulder to lean on. And Micah needed someone to start his dream. Review: These two people reached out to me from the first page of this book, and it is one of the most-read "keepers" on my shelf. Ms. Lee writes a touching and heartwarming story that revived my faith in love, and frankly, I hated to see this story end. Fortunately, we see glimpses of Faith and Micah in later books in the Conard County series. This is one of my all-time favorites, and I can't imagine anyone not liking this book! Happy reading!

I enjoy romance novels that aren't stereotypical, prone to cliches, and just plain predictable. These characters quickly became my favorites. Cherokee Thunder is beautifully written, no doubt about it, and I reread many times. I was drawn to the brilliantly genuine characterizations of both Micah and Faith, the pregnancy plotline versus Micah's solidarity, the realistic and endearing world of Conard County, and Lee's honest, simple, and talented writing. Definitely worth it.

The Conard County series is a classic. The solid writing of Lee is what made me buy this book again and revisit old friends. Definitely a keeper.
