4.0 out of 5 stars Nostalgia
Just as I remembered from childhood. As a medical professional and a new grandmother, I hope to someday introduce my little granddaughter to this nursing series. I was really excited to discover these books being re-issued. Yes, they are dated, WWII era, but many of the books in the series were dated when I first read them in the early '60's.

5.0 out of 5 stars BOOK 2 OF THE CHERRY AMES SERIES, November 29, 2009
Cherry Ames, Senior Nurse...continues the adventures of Cherry and her fellow Spencer Nursing School students. They are growing more mature and confident in their roles as upperclassmen. These books are set in the early WWII years, and it is delightful to see what nurses of that time were expected to do. I have found all of the Cherry Ames books to be absolutely charming. Cherry is a wonderful role model. I don't have daughters to share these books with, but they are safely tucked away for future granddaughters. I hightly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun reading., October 11, 2009

I grew up reading my mother's Cherry Ames books. Now (many years later) I'm enjoying the newly released books. They are a trip down memory lane, show true caring about nursing and people, and making me smile. Though they are definitely from the WWII era that just adds some flavor to the actual story while still being a nice promotion for a nursing career. I'm enjoying the reread.

5.0 out of 5 stars Golden Memories, September 4, 2011

For those of us old enough to remember Cherry Ames these books are gold. I have purchased several on my Kindle and enjoyed this time around almost as much as the first time. It is amusing to see the differences in medicine, but the old fashioned values still hold. I'm sure I will eventually get them all. Now if they could just get Sue Barton in Kindle.
