The assembling was fairly easy. I love the deep rich cherry color. The table top was the most beautiful of all the parts, I notice it was covered in a thick layer of coating because it was very smooth.

There were some minor damage to the corner of the desk (I noticed this as I soon opened the package and inspect all the parts) and some holes for the screws was slightly off (a few millimeter away) for the screw-nail to fit (I had to skip the ring (but not the washer) to get it in contact. There are metal shielding in the wood that was prepared so when I assembled the product, there were no wood cracks.

An excellent desk and chair set for the price I paid.

I was totally amazed that there was not one shred of packing material inside the box. Our product came quite damaged. I cannot see how it could arrive without any damage at all. it seems like the company made no effort at all to insure that the product would arrive without damage. Also, the description of the item did not note that the drawer fronts are only particle board covered with paper that is meant to simulate the look of wood. Because of this the front of the desk does not match the top in color or woodgrain pattern. The company was very helpful and willingly issued a refund.

I'm personally very happy with this desk. Everything arrived before the expected delivery date and was relatively easy to assemble. I think the desk is very attractive but I will warn buyers that it does look a tiny bit redder than you see in the picture. To me the color and the shine on the finish just makes the desk stand out more but it remains very elegant. I'll also point out that only one of the three drawers shown in the picture is actually functional (the middle one of course).

This is a great product and it wasn't too hard to put together. I am using as I am typing this review and I highly recommend it!

I am happy with my new Cherry Finish Secretary Desk. It looks quite attractive and is incredibly light weight, which is what I wanted. It's not a terribly solid piece of furniture, but it does the trick, which is to serve as a desk, but to also look attractive when my office is used as a spare bedroom when we have guests. It could double up as a nice dressing table. The chair is functional, i.e. you can sit on it, though I wouldn't recommend doing so for long periods as it's not overly comfortable (or conducive to good posture). The fabric and padding are low quality and it's probably going to need replacing quite soon I think. I've had the items for about a month and within a week the cream fabric covering the chair started to look worn with little dark blue bobbles from my jeans. I can't really complain, though. It looks great, meets the requirements and was a TERRIFIC price, so I consider it to be great value for money.

I am in love with it! I bought it to study for the medical licensing exam, so i sit on this chair 9 hrs a day for 3 months! The chair is comfortable, and its exactly like the picture. It has a gorgeous cherry finishing, and I couldn't be happier. It was shipped the next day and arrived only 3-4 days after I ordered it. Really good buy!

This is a great-looking, inexpensive desk and chair set which works well in my bedroom. The chair seat comes covered in an off-white brocade fabric, but I covered it with a burgundy fabric to match my bedding and it looks gorgeous. Beautiful desk and chair. Inexpensive. Arrived on time. Assembly was not difficult. Great deal all the way around!

This is a small writing desk, perfect for a laptop computer. It fits nicely in my bedroom and it looks great. I'm very happy with it.

I ordered this set and the product arrived in less than 10 days. The top of the chair wood was split and was not repairable. The company rushed me another chair - Excellent customer service. Great quality. Furniture finish shiny. I did not know only the center drawer was functioning. The drawer handle is poor quality / color finish that is glued to desk. This doesn't allow to changing out the handles without damaging the finish.

It's a nice chair and desk set, but it is small, given the fact that I have a big bedroom. So now, I have to find a smaller room to put it in, and spend $350+ on a much bigger desk and chair. I was also fooled by the other 2 side drawers, which do not open, only the middle one does. DARN IT >:-|
