Chesapeake 1-2-3 is a counting picturebook for young readers, based around the theme of Chesapeake bay and the boats, people, marine life and more that share in it. Cartoony color illustrations by David Aiken and an upbeat rhyme by Priscilla Cummings help teach young beginning readers about the numbers one through ten. Also very highly recommended is Aiken and Cummings' Chesapeake A-B-C, a fine companion book for preschoolers.
