5.0 out of 5 stars Realistic and Motivating Documentary about Kids and Chess...
This film shows what life is really like in the world of kids' chess. It's a great educational film for parents, teachers and kids to inspire as well and show the importance of being well-rounded. In this video we are shown the world of chess tournaments through the children's eyes as they share their thoughts and feelings about the game that many have devoted their lives...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but Dated
I enjoyed watching the film with my 7 year old daughter particularly because some of the key chess players that were interviewed were girls. However, we both thought that much of what was discussed was a bit dated and not consistant with our limited experience at chess tournaments. I don't think I'll watch it more than once.

This film shows what life is really like in the world of kids' chess. It's a great educational film for parents, teachers and kids to inspire as well and show the importance of being well-rounded. In this video we are shown the world of chess tournaments through the children's eyes as they share their thoughts and feelings about the game that many have devoted their lives to. You can hear young children talk about their likes and dislikes of the game in their own words. Listen to their parents concerns and dreams for their children. It's a great video to inspire all, in particular, more girls to think about entering into the world of chess. This film doesn't glamorize chess, it shows it like it is, yet it can make just about anyone excited about this amazing and challenging game! Even if you know nothing about this intriguing game, if you are thinking about learning more about the world of chess, as either an adult, parent, teacher or for one of your children, I highly recommend adding this video to your collection.
