I have seen a lot of dice in my day, and in my personal opinion, these are definitely among the most amazing I've ever seen, if not the most amazing. I originally bought these as loaners, but now that I have them, I'm seriously considering keeping them for myself and loaning out my old set.

The coloration on them is amazing, and even though there is gold mixed in with red and blue color of the dice, the gold numbers are still very easy to read. If you're looking for an amazing set of dice that will be the envy of everyone that sees them, look no further.

These dice aren't magical but the color is awesome on them. Made my dungeon master cry when he realized my dice were cooler than his.

Good quality dice. Nice color too and clear numbers. Play dnd often and have received several comments on these dice.

First off, these are Chessex, they're good dice. No questions there. Even the discarded dice from the bag-o' are pretty good.

Anyway, I decided to trust reviews and order these, hoping they'd be as pretty as promised. A few of them are. The d12 is gorgeous. The d20 almost looks like a solid colour, though. I was rather disappointed when I saw them. You can barely make out the gold in most of them. It's mostly red. A pretty shade of red, but still. On the plus side, the numbers are incredibly easy to read. I'll probably pass the set on to my bf and purchase from our local gameshop next time.

I had a set of Red Scarab Chessex dice but my friend lost one of the die in the set and it bothered me not having a complete set so I wanted to buy another one. I wanted a Scarab design one again so I bought this one since my other friend already had a blue set and I didn't want to get mine mixed up with him.

The die are very unique and look great (feel great as well).

Besides that I can't really say much more. I put the "educational value" as 3 since besides some statistics I don't see how these can educate.

If you want a great set of die, any Chessex set is great, just choose your preferred theme.

I've owned hundreds of dice over the past 3 decades; these are easily the most beautiful dice I own. The metallic resin is subtly refractive, so the swirling colors look incredible under lighting, especially sunlight. Nice contrast between the die body and the numbers, so readability is never an issue.
By far my favorite set. I rated the durability as less than 5 stars simply because the number paint WILL rub off over time. These get rolled in a dice tray exclusively, and I haven't had an issue yet.

I think these may be these nicest dice in terms of coloration I've seen in some time. There are a lot of subtle color nuances. I bought them as a gift, and when they arrived I seriously thought of keeping them for myself. The gift recipient uses them almost exclusively, he likes them so well.

So these are very nice dice. They are manufactured to a very high standard of quality somewhere in Germany.

Looking closely at the dice, one can tell that the swirls of plastic that make up the pattern known as "scarab" are actually being viewed beneath a thin coat of clear plastic resin. Beautiful.

When looking closely at the numbers on the facets, the paint filling the numbers never crosses out onto the surrounding surface.

These dice have an excellent fit and finish.

I rated the durability a three out of five. You might consider them a five out of five as they are no less durable than any other dice made from plastic resin that I have ever touched.

The 3 out of 5 durability rating is due to the possibility of scuffing the surface of such beautifully made dice. If the dice weren't so gorgeous, then I wouldn't mind so much if they got a little scuffed. The surfaces are actually quite durable when facing normal use. Not that I'm doing anything abnormal with these dice...

Anyway, I'm very impressed with these dice.

Oh yeah, and educational factor... well, they're platonic solids. At least I think five of the six shapes are (sorry d10 and d 10%) so that's gotta count for something. They are also an effective tool in the generation of random numbers. The educational value one receives from these is more dependent on the beholder.

Bought these about a week ago because they looked awesome. They arrived a few days ago, I opened it, and thought, "Huh, that looks nothing like the picture." I check the slip inside, and sure enough it doesn't match the product name - the outside says "Blue blood with gold", but the chessex slip inside says "Blue-Gold/white Gemini", which is what actually got shipped to me. So I refund it with amazon, they send me another via 1-day shipping with no cost to me. It arrives today, and hey, look, it's the exact same set of incorrect dice. So in summary, do not buy these from BigFlySports, even though they're Amazon's default seller.

I am a DnD gamer and ordered these dice because I liked the coloring. Gamers can be very picky about how their dice look and I'm no exception. So imagine my disappointment when they shipped me the Gemini Blue and Gold instead of this set.

Chessex is one of the best dice fabricating companies, but FAIL!
