The following review will be the same for all the differing colors of ChesseX Polyhedral 7-Die Translucent Dice Set.

ChesseX offers eleven (11) different colors of 7-die Polyhedral sets, one of the best selections of gamer dice offered and excellent for each player to have their own distinctive set. I prefer the green, but have a blue set as well. But with so many choices it is easy to pick your favorite or an easy compromise.

I prefer the translucent to solid color die mainly because there is something bout the slightly luminous background of the translucent plastic that sets off the black numbers better, making them easier to read and providing a more pleasant gaming experience.

Accuracy on random number generation is important. I got my undergraduate statistics students to test the ChesseX die with 1,000 throws, and the quality report came back: EXCELLENT. These are die that throw random numbers from their possibility set.

The slightly rounded edges make for clean throws and firm resting stops, although the inherent composition of the plastic makes them bounce pretty easily off a Formica table. These die work better on cloth surfaces.

This is the set I use when DM'ing. Chessex makes great dice sets and this set is no exception. We have several of these sets in different colors since each player wants their own for those "life and death" rolls. The set includes:

- One 4 sided (1d4), usually for rolling damage caused by small weapons or minor magic attacks
- One 6 sided (1d6), this is a "normal" die, usually for rolling damage caused by normal weapons
- One 8 sided (1d8), usually for rolling damage cased by larger weapons and more powerful magics
- Two 10 sided (1d10 + "Percentile"), the 1d10 is used like the other dice by itself, but when used with the one marked in "10s" they become "percentile" dice capable of rolling numbers from 01 to 100 (000)
- One 12 sided (1d12), usually used for rolling damaged caused by major attacks
- One 20 sided (1d20), typically the "attack" die used to roll the base number for offensive action

These are good quality and seem to produce random results. For those that need "bulk dice", consider Chessex Dice: Pound of Dice (Pound-O-Dice) Approximately 100 Die.

These dice work to randomly generate a range of random numbers. This is exactly what I wanted. If you need several fields of random numbers available at any time, then these dice are for you.

Dice are dice pure and simple but color combinations are pure personal choice. This combination is easily readable and ascetically pleasing to me.

My only complaint is not with the dice but the amount of dice, I would love to find a larger set combination of d20 dice. This set contains 1 each, d20-percentile set(2d10)-d12-d8-d6-d4. As an avid d20 gamer, mainly DnD, I would like to find a set containing 2d20, percentile set(2d10), 2d12, 2d10 separate from percentile, 2d8, 6d6, 4d4, and shipping with a appropriate size dice bag with a locking slider on pull cord.

I bought these for the wife;I can not begin to explain the amount of joy that I saw when she received a set of dice unlike any that she had and that seem to roll perfectly for her!

The dice came in good time, but there was a slight problem with the d12: the 1 had a small white circle around it, probably from a production error. I contacted Chessex directly with a photo, and they sent me several replacements in the mail with no fuss! FANTASTIC service and excellent dice! I would recommend Chessex to ANYONE looking for gaming equipment!

The dice themselves are beautiful. The photographs on Amazon really don't do these dice justice. The white lettering on the dark background is crisp and clear. The plastic carrying box is the right size for display, but I would prefer a small bag. (No biggie; they sell those too: Chessex Dice: Velour Cloth Dice Bag Small (4 x 6) - BLACK - Holds Approximately 20-30 Dice)

Regardless, based on service alone, I will look at Chessex's catalog first for my gaming equipment. Great customer service. Don't hesitate--they'll make it right.

They're dice, not a lot one can say except that, these are good quality dice.
They have a nice solid feel, and the numbers are nice and clear (easy to see).

I got these and decided to test them out right away! I rolled by d20 against my friends and beat him 5 times in a row, then the next 3 times i rolled.....all 20's! But I'm sure that won't continue to happen, and if it does, i'll have one OP character lol, But they look good, and other than that they are just regular dice, Which is a great product!

I love how fast they shipped my die set. i was expecting it to take much longer but i got them with in 3 or 4 days. i will buy all of my Die sets from them for now on.
