About the Author
Thomas A. Biery is an accomplished photographer whose work has been published in several international magazines, including Time, U.S. News & World Report, Business Week, The Railroad Press and Traffic World. This is his second book, which showcases his photography talent in the mountainous region surrounding Cumberland, Maryland. Tom continues to photograph transportation subjects and is still published regularly.

My collection is Western Maryland RR Based, yet this is a colorful and informative part of the collection because it includes information about WM's absorption into Chessie. It's hard to find books on the Chessie System, let along great books. Cumberland was part of the old B&O, and this book picks up where a lot of books on the B&O leave off- Cumberland action under Chessie colors. It's a good read with lots of fine pictures. I highly recommend it.
