About the Author
Syd Hoff was born and raised in New York City. He studied at the National Academy of Design and sold his first cartoon to The New Yorker when he was eighteen. He eventually became one of the most original and beloved authors and illustrators of children's books. Mr. Hoff wrote more than fifty books for children, including the I Can Read titles Danny and the Dinosaur, Oliver, and Sammy the Seal.

Syd Hoff is a much-loved and much-read author and illustrator of numerous books for children. Born and raised in New York City, he studied at the National Academy of Design and sold his first cartoon to The New Yorker when he was eighteen. Since then his cartoons have become a regular feature in many magazines and newspapers. Syd Hoff and his wife live in Miami Beach, Florida.

Chester really wants to be caught by the cow boys, but to his surprise they only want the wild horses that run away. this takes him on an adventure through town trying to find out what he can be helpful with. Easy to read story. Great for the beginner ready.

Have you every wanted a real life carousel horse? Chester wants to be one instead of being free and wild. The other horses thinks he's off his rocker. This book is similiar to ROBERT THE ROSE HORSE and THUNDERHOOF. God boy book. As always, lovely pictures.Ironic ending.
