This book of hymn arrangements as recorded by Chet Atkins was done in hopes that other guitarists will benefit from the availability of beautiful hymns for guitar, both for use in worship services and for personal enjoyment as well. The arrangements are given in notation and tablature just as Chet played them. They have not been simplified, and are intended for use by those who know and appreciate Chet's style of guitar technique. Fingerings and performance notes have been added by the transcriber.

I've been a fan of Chet's for about 55 years. I enjoy his music
and can play some of his music to a certain extent. Good gospel and hymnal music have a place in my heart. I own both the book and CD. I have a program called Guitar Pro 5. I have inserted the music in the program and most of the music sounds exactly like the CD. Amazing!! I highly recommend the book and the CD. None of this music written is unplayable unless you're a beginner. With the music and tabs, it's easy to follow along. Jerry Ozee did a fantastic job!!!

I bought this book and I love it. Its easy to read and fun to play. The songs are played in the key of G,E,and C. I also bought the cd "Chet atkins plays back home hymns" and the note for note transcriptions in the book, are just like they are on the cd. This book is great if you want to play at church.
