A "must" for all muscle car fans,
By Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Chevelle SS 1964-1972, A Muscle Car Source Book (Paperback)
Profusely illustrated with color photography, Chevelle SS 1964-1972: A Muscle Car Source Book by "muscle car" enthusiast Jeffrey Steffs methodically walks the reader through the process of identifying the authentic Chevelle Super Sport and along the way, demystifies VIN and body tag decoding, provides a wealth of production data, engine specs, technical details, and historical facts about on of America's most popular recreational cars. A "must" for all muscle car fans, Chevelle SS 1964-1972 is essential reading for anyone contemplating buying one of these increasingly valuable cars, if only to avoid being taken in by a clone and ending up paying more than the car's true market value.

My dad and I are restoring a Chevelle and this book has a lot of great information and cool pictures. There were a lot of things in there that we did not know about the chevelle we are restoring. We found out that our Chevelle is numbers matching.AWESOME BOOK!!

Maybe the new edition is better,

It's too bad many errors that should have been caught by a knowledgeable proofreader mar this (printing of this) book. Perhaps the new edition is better (did you see the prices that sellers want for this old edition? OMG). I sure hope so. I certainly know how the author feels (been there, done that), but what makes him any more of an expert than me (okay, so he did take the time to write a book and I haven't)? At any rate I'm still waiting for THE ULTIMATE Chevelle restoration book, something like Paul A. Hurd's "Chevelle SS Restoration Guide" BUT WITHOUT ALL THE ERRORS!
