This is all a Camaro owner will ever need for simple to even somewhat advanced maintenance and repair instructions for their car. From engine overhaul to routine maintenance schedules and procedures to removal and installation of the engine and transmission, with many pictures and illustrations including several exploded views and complete wiring diagrams, this is an invaluable guide. This is best for someone who is handy with and has ready access to standard shop tools, and enjoys "do-it-yourself" work, although instructions are clear enough to accommodate almost anyone with the recommended equipment (a full list of which is included).

This was a 'well' used repair manual but it was just as discribed and expected. This book will see harsh service so a like new book was not required. Everything went smooth.

I've always heard how great these manuals were, so it was my first choice when looking for a manual for my gen 2 Camaro. This book is helpful if you're a mechanic, but I wouldn't recommend it for an amateur. If you have advanced mechanical knowledge and want to attempt a repair only need details specific to this particular model it's fine, but if you don't already have that working knowledge, it will leave you confused and guessing. It makes leaps in details that the less experienced will not be able to piece together. It also provides mostly year specific details and doesn't address the many changes of the generation 2 F body.

Hayne's always puts out the best repair manuals for automobiles. And this was a great buy since I am currently restoring a 1979 Z28 Chevrolet Camaro. This car is my pride and joy and with some of the repairs and restoration, I probably couldn't have done without having this manual in hand. The instructions are fairly simple and it comes with pictures which also help you along the way. With 372 pages you will can pretty much find information on everything that you need...from small maintenance to big engine projects. Great buy for an Camaro fan.
