Great Reference!, July 13, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Chevrolet Chevelle & Monte Carlo, 1964-1972 (Classic Motorbooks Photofacts) (Paperback)
While Red Books and ID Number books give you the facts and only the bare facts on Monte Carlos and Chevelles, this book is amazing! Apparently the author is a Monte lover, and the chapters on the introductions of the Montes are fantastic!
All of the chapters are in chronological order, with two chapters a year in 70, 71, and 72 in order to give Montes fair discussion. The author not only gives code #s and production numbers, but he actually discusses what was special about each year and model, and also Chevy's plans whether they happened or not (like the 72 Monte Convertible).
I highly recommend this book to add to your basic knowledge of Chevelles and Monte Carlos. It will take you far deeper into detail and description than any numbers-only book!

Chevrolet Chevelle & Monte Carlo 1964-1972 Classic Motorbooks Photofacts,Red Chevelle on the Cover,1992., September 25, 2010
This review is from: Chevrolet Chevelle & Monte Carlo, 1964-1972 (Classic Motorbooks Photofacts) (Paperback)
This is the 1992 reprint of the 1986 edition of the book,Sadly the book is all black and white, It does have lots of interesting tidbits of information,,but it is short 80pages, I also wished it Covered more Monte Carlo's Such as the 80's Monte Carlo SS,Fans of that Car would be disappointed not to find anything in the book on it. We NEED A BOOK ON JUST THE MONTE CARLO 1970S,80's and even the Shortlived 90's car.The book has the same Mike Mueller picture of a Red 70' Chevelle SS on The Cover as Mike Mueller's Chevelle book.Good but short book on Chevelle and up to 72' Monte Carlo.
