This book answered all my questions and more. It does not cover any 12 port heads though, hybrid heads are covered in one chapter. Leo Santucci was nice enough to list most modifactions by purpose (street, street/strip, all out drag) and tells you what to do to get the performance you desire without building an unuseable engine.
