Bought this for my son - he owns an '04 Impala with 150,000 miles on it. I believe every person should have some generalized idea about the workings of their automobile and this manual does exactly that. What has my son done with the manual? Like most teenagers, he has taken apart the dash and installed some exceptionally loud stereo. The beauty being, if I hear it or a neighbor mentions that they could hear it on the street, the car is mine for a week. We have also used it to fix small things such as a leaking trunk; shorted wiring runs to the taillights etc.

Good generalized manual for someone needing some basic information but an expert might want more.

This repair manual is ok, but it doesn't have enough detail. It would be nice if they would update to color pictures and include more of them. Further it seems to cover too many models over too many years to be specific enough on each one. Probably ok for and experienced mechanic, but as a beginner I find myself looking for additional information online and elsewhere.

This book was in excellent shape, and it arrived very quickly. I appreicate this kind of great products and service!

This is a service manual. It's good for DIYers. I did the major service items and needed the book. It sure saved me a lot of money over taking the car to the shop, and I'm always kind of suspicious that shops actually do all of the things they are supposed to do anyway.

I changed the air filter, fuel filter, cabin filter, trans fluid/filter, power steering fluid, and spark plugs. The manual helped with most of these tasks.

The back side spark plugs were a expletive to change. I would have given the book 5 stars if it had changed the plugs for me. ;)

Oh, one other thing; the spark plugs listed in the book were the right ones. The auto parts store had different ones listed for my car, so the book helped me get the right plug. The other ones were a different heat range.

The book is ok. I have only paged through it briefly tho. Haven't had to do many repairs yet.

Like others have stated, this manual cover several models over several years. It has the bulk of what I needed, but it would have been nice to have pictures for my Impala rather than a Lumina or Monte Carlo that have supposedly the same mechanics. I've used the book several times as a general guide and so far it has been helpful.

Great book, gives lots of details and tips on do's and don'ts for do it yourself automotive work. I would recommed this to any beginner, like myself.
