This book is helpful but does lack information on replacing parts that are common replacements on Suburbans. Also sometimes pictures do not have arrows specifying which part it is actually showing. Since this is the only book I have found that covers Suburbans, it is helpful but I hope someday someone will do a complete teardown and use better pictures and/or drawings.

This book is an ok resource, but the HUGE factory service manual will be your best friend. Pick them up for your specific year on eBay for $30 or less, and Haynes, Chiltons, and the like will be obsolete.

FWIW, similar factory manuals are available for most Chevrolet and Chrysler products...I've got fine ones for both my Jeeps, as well. If one wasn't available, I'd next look for a BENTLEY manual (not the car, the publishing company). If Bentley makes a manual for your vehicle, thats fine stuff, too...

This manual has some really basic infomation. It is nothing like an acutal repair manual for my specific vehicles (1990 Suburban or 1972 C20). I have the Chevy repair manual for the C20 and it breaks down diagnostic and repair steps for just about every componant for the truck.

This one is pretty generic. Again, it is worth having if there is nothing more specific for your specific model/year.

A good manual but not a substitute for a bigger shop manual. If you are familiar with Chevrolet products perhaps this will be enough for you but it left me with some unanswered questions. Great for general maintainence and light repair but get a shop manual if you want a more thorough treatment. I gave it four stars just for this reason.

I purchased this manual along with Chilton's '70 - '79 GM Full-Size Trucks manual. It's like an encyclopedia, bible, and answer book with pictures, diagrams, exploded views, and explanations for the Chevy pickup.

Perfect gift for my husband. Has everything in it that he needed to start working on his truck.

Close but no banana. Vendor sent me the wrong book, but it was used and the price was very low, so that's okay. Never responded to my email which wasn't cool, but whatever.

Finally got the book from another vendor and it was great, sealed in plastic and only $3. more than the used one I had originally ordered. Amazon...you have a great service. Much appreciated.
