5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use
I love these books! They make it easy to find out anything you're looking for, like what size spark plug gap you need or fuel tank capacity. But I especially enjoy the fact that they are written for anyone to understand. Im not a mechanic by any means but I cant do a minor tune up all by myself! (PS Im a girl.)

3.0 out of 5 stars A good source, but misses some of the details
Haynes does a good job covering 90-95% of the problems you would typically have, but misses some details. 3.0 out of 5 stars A good source, but misses some of the details, January 28, 1999
This review is from: Haynes Chevrolet Camaro & Pontiac Firebird, 1993-1997 (Haynes Automotive Repair Manuals) (Paperback)
Haynes does a good job covering 90-95% of the problems you would typically have, but misses some details. A nice mix of wriiten instructions and photos enable readers to understand the steps to complete the job. Overall, I found it informative, but lacking detail in some areas, which I will detail here: I bought this book as a reference for my newly purchased 95 Camaro. A fog lamp was broken, and I wanted instructions on how to remove the lens. The instructions in the manual did not reference several steps I needed to take to remove it. The alternator had a squeak from a bearing, but alternator service is not included in the manual due to "expense and limited availability of parts". I think grease for the bearings is probably inexpensive and available. (By the way this information is in their 1982-1991 Camaro book). I also did not find specifications such as engine horsepower ratings or axle ratios. I will continue to buy their books until I find someone who does a better job.

This review is from: Haynes Chevrolet Camaro & Pontiac Firebird, 1993-1997 (Haynes Automotive Repair Manuals) (Paperback)
It is not the most complete on the 4th gen F-body platform...but it is helpful for some basic info.
