If you have read the first two volumes of CHEW (or issues 1-15 of the monthly comics) and liked them, then you need not read any further: BUY THIS BOOK NOW! "Just Desserts" is continuation of the fresh characters and storytelling that you are used to from the award-winning team of John Layman and Rob Guillory.

For the new people, CHEW is the story of Tony Chu, the non-stereotypical Asian-American federal agent with the rare (and stomach-churning) gift of cibopathy. He gets psychic impressions from anything he eats, and uses this power to solve cases that reach dead ends. You will appreciate the character development and plot twists in this book much better if you go back and read Chew Volume 1: Taster's Choice and Chew Volume 2: International Flavor first. Start with book one, or if Amazon offers a good enough deal, go ahead and cop all three! Chances are, you won't be disappointed!
holla!

Great writing, story telling and artistry come together in this modern comic series. The stories aren't your typical comic book fair, but are great for new readers and old. I would definitely recommend this title.

I started reading this series back in 2011 and absolutely loved it at the time. But then I couldn't get my hands on another copy at the library and eventually forgot about it. Then I rediscovered it recently and decided to start reading it again, just in time too now that volume 7 is coming out in August!!

So this book continues the story of Tony Chu who can eat things (not necessarily food) and find out where it came from. He uses this skill to help solve crimes and has lots of crazy adventures along the way. I don't want to reveal any spoilers about it if you haven't read the first 2 books so I won't say that much about it.

I really love this series as it's so unique and is fast paced. It's a little violent and graphic but not overly so. This individual book wasn't as amazing as I remember the first two but that's because I'm a bit rusty on the story. But overall I'd highly recommend it to lovers of graphic novels as well as science fiction and good stories.

I was late to the Chew party.

I didn't know what it was all about. But I had heard that people thought it was great. I finally picked up volumes 1, 2, and 3 at my local library and I read them all over the course of 2 days.

I love this book! It's got a unique premise, some great writing, and great art. Comic fans and non-comic fans alike will like this book.

If you have not read them yet, Chew Volume 1: Tasters Choice and Chew Volume 2: International Flavorare highly recommended, but not required reading.

This book picks up where the other two left off and continues with all of the same things that made the first two books great. I am going to have to pick up the next volume right away!

The second of my two favorite comic books, Chew has an off the wall premise, with a comically dark setting. I love this series, and am looking to expand my collection with Image and similar publishers.

Rob Guillary and John Layman are geniuses. A+++ Outstanding work!!! Showtime is supposedly picking this up for a series! They deserve every bit of praise!
