Can't believe it took so long..., January 14, 2005
This review is from: Chewing on the Bit (Audio CD)
Here it is 2005 and I'm just now being able to check out this band??? This disc rocks from beginning to end!! Reminds me of a mix from the best stuff from AC/DC and Krokus...minus the BS "power ballads"! Not one track disappoints...

SOLID but not spectacular for Dirty Looks, October 23, 2007
This review is from: Chewing on the Bit (Audio CD)
Here is the deal straight up. This is a very solid release but it is not one of Dirty Looks best. Certainly you must buy Cool From The Wire, Turn Of The Screw and Five Easy Pieces before you purchase this one. However, if you are a fan of the band you also can't be without this release. Songs like Love Train, My Way, Trip The Light and even the slower track My Shallow Grave are well worth a purchase and the other tunes are good, just not classic. For me, I prefer the newer albums Slave To The Machine (2000) and Gasoline (2007) over this one because if I want to hear the older style Dirty Looks I am most likely going to reach for one of their classics whereas the new ones bring something fresh to the table while still holding true to Dirty Looks. I give Chewing On The Bit 3.5 to 4.0 stars on a 5 star rating. It's definitely not more than 4.0 even if you are a big Dirty Looks fan.
