The day Winnie Johnson is fired from her job she seizes the opportunity to apply her skills and talents in a new career. When resumes end up ignored and job interviews turn sour Winnie struggles to find the lighter side of unemployment. Acting on bad judgment and misguided intentions, Winnie loses the support of family and friends and is forced to face some pretty harsh truths that will ultimately give her the strength she needs to find a place for herself in the workforce. Told through Winnie s diary entries, Chewing Broken Glass takes you inside her world of thoughts and frustrations on trying to find and keep a decent job.

About the Author

Jill Remensnyder earned her B.A. in Theater Arts from Portland State University where she studied acting and directing. She wrote, directed and produced her debut feature, Breach of Etiquette, in 1999. This venture led to many opportunities in the film industry ranging from producing to screenwriting. While she prefers to stay behind the camera, every so often she puts on her acting hat and takes on a small role. Jill was prompted to write Chewing Broken Glass after working as a receptionist at an employment agency. She resides in Portland, Oregon with her husband, Brett Eichenberger, and their pet rabbit, Oliver.
