I've been eating Jing Jing Jahe for the past 15 years, even taking some with me when traveling in Indonesia, where it is manufactured. When you first put a candy in your mouth, you might wonder where the ginger heat is, but don't worry. After a few minutes your mouth will be enveloped with the most wonderful ginger taste you'll ever experience. This chewy candy is not for those who do not like "hot" foods, but for ginger affecionados, it's a wonderful treat.

I was introduced to these candies by my grandchildrens' Chinese language tutor. Are they chewy? They are pull-your-fillings-out chewy! Are they delicious enough that I don't care about the dentist bill? As SP would say, "you betcha!" If you like ginger, and you like spicy, I would choose these things over just about any candy out there (ok, if you need chocolate, you need chocolate, but I'm just sayin'). And since ginger is great for digestion, they also give me a great excuse to chow down on them after dinner. Try these babies. If you like them, chances are you won't have to share them. My experience has been that people either really truly love them or absolutely can't stand them. Enjoy!

One of the healthier candies I eat and it's great to get them in bulk. Really are a great snack at 2:30 when lunch is starting to wear you down.

I've been buying this candy for a few years now, since I found it on a shelf at an Asian supermarket.

I love the chewiness and then the slow warming of the ginger in your mouth. It's not 'hot' but some people don't like the spicy warm it creates.

However, I cannot believe this price of the candy on here! If your neighborhood has ANY sort of Asian market, check there first. I just picked up 6 bags (5oz each) for $1.59 each.

Granted, I don't have a 'local' market, so when I get the chance to go to one, I stock up :-) It doesn't take long for me to go through my stash.

hot and spicy, very chewy. Just a ginger candy should be. Bring couple on your long car ride, help you feel better and protect you from cold

I'd read where candied Ginger helps with headaches. So am tring it for the headaches, but I found I do like the taste and not sure but haven't had trouble with any headaches since I started them. They are good.

I love the flavor of ginger and this candy captures that flavor perfectly with just the right amount of heat (for those unaware, ginger is a naturally hot spice). I also love the texture of this candy. I have to pace myself or I will find that I have eaten half a bag in a day.

Love these ginger candies I just can't get enough of them. Not all ginger candy is the same... Ting Ting Jehe is the best in my opinion.

If you like ginger, this is a candy for you, in addition to it being benefical for your digestive track. Has a wonderful ginger flavor.
