For the price I was expecting much less quality for this comforter, but it is so soft, fluffy and comfortable! I am totally impressed with the quality and the manufacture of it. An excellent purchase for those in the market for a lightweight, down-alternative comforter, and you can't beat this price!

Based on the review by Lisa, I purchased this comforter to replace the down comforter I ruined in the washing machine. :(

After only minutes under this blanket I could not believe how wonderfully warm it was! It wasn't too heavy but seemed to keep me warm much better than the actual down comforter had.

My husband has to sleep with a fan on - no matter the weather - and I am not always a 'fan', pun intended. Plus we usually used two additional quilts on top of the down comforter. Not so with this one. This blanket allows for me to stay warm while he enjoys his fan. No more trying to compromise "who gets to be comfortable tonight" :D And no more needing additional blankets to get comfortable at night.

Plus, this item can be washed in the washing machine rather than being dry-cleaned ((oops, I suppose I should have checked my down comforter before I tossed it in the wash)) but isn't as bulky as a down one so it doesn't fill the washing machine so awkwardly, like the fuller one, often throwing it off balance.

I have yet to see any negative about this item. I would highly recommend it!

I was excited about this purchase based on excellent customer reviews. It was purchased for our guest bed which is a queen. At the recommendation of others, I purchased the king comforter because they run small. When I took it out of the package, it immediately felt cheap and not worth the price that I paid (which wasn't even that expensive). The material is polyester, unlike many of the alternative down comforters on the market which have a 100% cotton exterior. The polyester was slippery, shiny and had a distinct plastic smell that comes with cheap polyester products. I then put the comforter on the bed, hoping that it would look nice once it was unfolded and laying on the bed. We have a standard queen size bed, and the king size comforter seemed small on it. It also continued to look cheap and I couldn't overcome the smell and sheen of the polyestester, and I ended up returning this product. I then went to Marshalls and for $30-35 bought a king size alternative goose down comforter that had a 100% cotton exterior, which is much nicer and more enjoyable for our guests.

On another note, for our king size bed in our bedroom we bought a Natural Comfort Soft and Luxurious 300TC Sateen White Down Alternative Duvet Insert on Amazon for $85. This is an extremely nice down comforter, and also has 100% cotton. We do not use a duvet cover, but just use the comforter. I love this product so much that I would have purchased it our for guest room, but did not want to spend so much money.

Overall, my recommendation is to skip this product and spend a few extra dollars for a comforter with 100% cotton exterior. Its worth the money, and will not be so cheap feeling. I would note that this is the first product that I have not been satisfied buying from Amazon (especially after reading favorable reviews). I was extremely disappointed in the size and material of the product.

I bought this based on the stellar reviews... I'm not impressed. Sure, it's a down alternative... so is a tarp. Shipping issues aside (first one went AWOL, they shipped another without incident), I wish I'd never ordered it. It doesn't breathe, at all. You're either sweating or shivering (I'm in TX, hardly asking much of a comforter). Washed it once and the batting shifted and bunched, now about a third of the quilted squares look like they have squirrels in them. Amazon reviewers, you let me down.

I LOVE this! I use it as a Duvet insert for my Duvet cover from PBteen. I have always wanted a Duvet cover from PBteen, but they are a bit expensive. And their Duvet inserts are $159 (for a full/queen). Well, I found a beautiful Duvet Cover of theirs on sale on their site for half the original price. Then I started my Amazon search for a Duvet insert that wasn't $159.
The Full/Queen Duvet insert measurement from PBteen was 90x88, but I couldn't find one of that measurement (I am guessing they do that on purpose, so you have to buy their insert) but I found this with an 88x88 measurement. For $39, it was hard to refuse. So I ordered both.
This arrived the next day! I didn't even select one-day shipment! It didn't look all that fluffy, but I took it out of the packaging and it fluffed up very nicely. When my Duvet cover arrived, I used the corner tabs (very helpful!) and tied the cover to the insert. After about 15 minutes, I had it all put together and on my bed.
This insert is fabulous! You can't even tell there is a two inch difference! It is so soft, and it isn't that hot at all (it is warm, but not too hot!). Where I live, right now the nights are about 35 degrees out, so I have been using this with two thin quilts. Probably this would do better all by itself without the quilts.
This is great! If you are looking for a Duvet insert, you should definitely get this! It is super comfortable! But I will warn you that, as other reviewers said, I do wish it had a bit more fluff!

EDIT: I am still loving this duvet insert! It is very warm, I eventually had to remove one of my quilts from my bed (which was fine, since I wasn't planning on keeping the one I took off on my bed any longer). I now have a queen mattress, and it comes just to the bottom of the mattress.
