the book draws you in with a transexual and a 800-lb chinese drug dealer and his "right hand" in the begining. what's more intriquing than that?

a powerhouse read,
By Max Wolod (Chicago) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Chi: A Novel of Virtual Reality (Hardcover)
I had not read Rim or Mir, the preceding two novels of the loosely-tied series, but I was in no means at a loss for a base to read on. Besher utilized awesome description to define his characters, the interractions between them, and the events catalyzed by them. Weaving sensuality, pseudo-religious undertones, and an overriding sense of wonderment into his epic tale, Besher captivated me.
