Please make sure the sensor is facing downwards or towards the direction where motion might occur. There shouldn't be anything blocking the sensor including glasses

I like the concept so very much, I am trying to figure out where else I could use it. I am considering a covered, but outside porch location so the light greats visitors. I don't, however, think this is recommended by the manufacturer for outside use.
Update... My one critisicm is that it continually draws 0.5 watts to maintain the motion sensor. This works out to 12 watt hours per day. So not as great an energy saver as one might think. If it is used in a location where the light is required several times an evening then go for it, but to place this in a seldom accessed location like a storage closet, it will use electricity even if you only go to that closet once a week. My logic my be faulty, but I'd rather switch on a light once a week rather than use 84 watts per week ( .5 watts per hour= 12watts per day = 84watts per week at a minimum even if is OFF the entire time) on the chance that I might access the location and not have a hand free to turn on a light.
Just my opinion
Plan to purchase 3 more and create an easy cost effective lighting system.
I feel I could see a ROI of less than 2 years based on the young children that play in the basement. I had lights left on for days on end if I did not look.
Highly recommend this for basements that are not finished.....Absolutely amazing and much brighter than I had anticipated.

Lasted about a year in an area that was not used often. Box says 30,000 hours. It did not come close to that. Tried to contact manufacturer and their website is down. Read morePublished 28 days ago by M. Berthelot
These are awesome. We have one over our front door outside, and two others in the kitchen. So great!Published 1 month ago by SuzieQ
I bought this light for my pantry, where the light switch is mounted in an awkward place. I LOVE IT!!! Read morePublished 1 month ago by Richard A. Melhorn
Lights up when motion is detected. I use it in a garage door light fixture.Published 2 months ago by L. Hammer
Prompt shipping. The sensor has to be exposed in order to work properly. Sitting under a lamp shade does not work.Published 2 months ago by scomes
Works great for our porch; the motion sensor seems to work perfectly. Ideally, it would not come on during the day, and it would be a bit brighter, but it has worked very well.Published 2 months ago by Capricorn
