Product Description

Whoa! Normally these hot climate creatures grow to a bigger size than you could keep on your desk, or even in your backyard. But don't worry, all your Elephant Chia pet will grow is a fabulously luxurious coat of vegetation that will make your friends green with envy. A fun and amusing gift for any age, any occasion. Grows daily to reach full 'coat' in 1-2 weeks. Seed for three plantings. Instructions, drip tray. Handmade terra cotta pot.

Important Information

Directions
Submerge Chia Planter in water for 24 hours. In a separate container, mix two teaspoons of Chia Seeds and 1/4 cup of water. Stir well to moisten all seeds. The seeds will form a thick, gel-like paste which will help seeds adhere to your Chia Planter.Allow seeds to set for 24 hours.

Our chia pet is absolutely lovely thus far. I will say that the stalks of the seed grow much longer than I expected, and that the leaves do not blossom as far as I expected.

This does not hinder our chia growing experience at all.

Next growing we're giving her a mohawk.

What more can be said about a chia pet? If you know someone who like elephants, get them this one. if they dont like elephants, get them another. if they hate the GOP, get them this on in an Obama chia box.

Fun for all!

I've never had a chia pet before - these are very hard to grow! The seeds are in this slime stuff and if you don't get it on perfectly even you get big bald patches. Also, the instructions say the plant part only lasts about 3 weeks before you have to do it all over again and it takes a week for the seeds to even sprout. Plus, you have to water this thing every single day. Not worth the hassle.

My 5 year old grandson requested a Chia pet for Easter. Being a big Alabama Crimson Tide Fan what could be better than a Chia Elephant. He loves it and it is sprouting all over

It looks and feels a bit nasty right now. Maybe things will get better as it grows. Elephant is not as large as I thought it would be.

This little elephant is a chance to bring some pretty green plant life into a small space. This will grow nicely even under fluorescent lights without a window making it perfect for a cubicle.

Who doesn't remember or like a Chia Pet. I was actually looking for Chia seeds for adding to smoothies or baking. What popped up was the Chia Pets! I could not resist! The elephant just was too cute! Received it fast with Prime shipping! I remember getting one for my son many years ago! What fun watching the rapid sprouting seeds grow! Now the clay figures are made in China not Mexico as before. I gave our pet a name ChEllie since she is a Chia and an elephant. This is still a great little fun item for the kid in all of us! It comes with a plastic tray that the pet sits in to collect the water. You have seeds for several sproutings. After soaking the clay pet the seeds gel up and it is easy to spread them on the ridges of the clay figurine. ChEllie with all her sprouts made me smile! If it brings a smile it is well worth it!
