Viewing the inside of Chic & Easy Beading on this site does not show the buyer the excellent instructions and steps for each project. A friend brought this book in at work for me to look at now I want to buy a copy. I would not have ordered the book if I had not seen the step by step instructions that are unfortunately not shown while viewing this site. Chic & Easy Beading shows clear step by step pictures of each project. The most complicated project looks so easy to make. I cannot wait to have my own copy.

This is a lovely book for beaders with some experience.

There are some projects that may suit for new beaders but most of them require that you be familiar with stitches, techniques and beading skills that you learn after some time of practice.

All projects are beautifully photographed and show variations on the same topic. Explanations are clear and precise and I was delighted to find, at the end of the book, some pages with basic information on knots, stitches, beading and jewelry making techniques, which is a most welcome addition to the 100 projects shown in the book.

If you are an intermediate - advanced beader, I do recommend you to buy this beautiful book.

Not only are the pictures and drections clear but this book is great for those looking for a bump in skill level from your basic beading techniques. Basics in the back are helpful if one forgets how to stitch or bend something.

Make something beautiful that you'll love to wear is what the editors say about this book. And they're right. In Chic and Easy Beading, Alice Korach runs the gamut of designs utilizing seed, lampwork and caged beads, pearls and many other bead types to create matinee strands, multi-strand necklaces, lariets, asymmetrical beauties, beaded links and more. And that's just the necklaces! There are designs for spectacular earrings, bracelets and accessories, too.

Key tools are covered in a two-page layout - Basics of bead stringing. While this is a good reference for the experiencxed beader, the information given here might be too brief for a novice. (In my opinion, the book's only weakness.) However, each project more than makes up for this lack with the accompanying color photos, step-by-step instructions and materials lists that include bead amounts as well as sizes.

This is a fine book to have in your beading library, one you'll turn to again and again.

I received Chic & Easy Beading today and am really thrilled with it. The projects are straight-forward and step-by-step photos are provided to demonstrate techniques. With the exception of a few projects that weren't to my taste, there are enough ideas in here to keep me inspired for years! The beauty, of course, is that you can substitute any colours you don't care for to something of your own choosing. I would highly recommend buying this book -- it'll be a great addition to your beading library. :)

I have many jewelry and beading books, but this is and Bead On A Wire are my favorites. There are so many projects to choose from, and I disagree with the reader who said the pictures are muted - or something to that effect. The pictures are gorgeous! One of the first projects is an absolutely beautiful silver bali (type) bead, seed beed, and turquoise necklace - it's stunning, and the picture is stunning! I'm making a bracelet, and I've already made the earrings and ring to go with it! I've had nothing but ooohhhs and aaahhhs - and requests for me to make numerous pieces and sets!
I was really excited to see the other books listed here - as I picked mine up at a discount book store - I'd never seen the title before, but I'm so glad I happened upon it!

This is a wonderful book to have. It has all the steps to completing a project and so many inspirational ideas. I would highly recommend this as one of the books to own.

I am absolutely delighted with this book! It's full of beautiful designs with clear instruction! This book skips right to the good stuff and doesn't waste the first 20 pages telling you about basics like every single other beading book out there. I'd say it's more of intermidiate level, although I am a beginner and am easily able to apply these techniques.

The style of the jewelry projects in here is more bold, some are ethnic, and a lot of multi strands(which I love!) but very pretty like the piece on the cover. If you like little simple dainty designs, this isn't for you. But if you like your jewelry to make a statement and are able to look at pictures and adapt these projects into your own style, then you will probably really enjoy this book! I sure do!!!

I personally liked nearly ALL the projects in this book! I never ran across a bead book that I liked nearly everything before!

Very good for new designs and techniques. I thought that the pictures and descriptions were very good. Well worth reading.
