Biography

Trombonist Jack Teagarden was a mainstay of late 1920s New York Jazz scene. He was also one of the best White Jazz singers, particularly when he sang the Blues on songs like Making Friends. He recorded frequently with many groups that included Roger Wolfe Kahn Orchestra, Eddie Condon, Red Nichols and Louis Armstrong. A nice reissue containing tow L.P.'s. I do like the second half better but this is just an opinion. Jack shines throught

If you love Jack Teagarden, and you think the 1950s were a neglected part of his career, this is the CD you want (along with "Meet Me Where They Play the Blues").
