This is one of those cookbooks that has many recipe's but some of them good and some of them bad. For instance, Ted Lilly's recipe is called egg in the hole...basically just cut a hole in a piece of bread and put an egg in there and cook it. Definitely not gourmet quality. But its all in fun. There are some interesting and good recipes from some of the players and even restaurant quality recipes from places like Harry Carey's Bar and Grill. The main reason to buy this is for a gift for some big Cubs fans and to support a great cause. The proceeds go to a pitcher named Ryan Dempster for his daughters disease. It is 22q and they are raising as much money as possible to help not only their daughter but anyone else affected by this disease.

Great book, great recipes, and a great cause. Dempster, on behalf of Cubs fans, we wish your daughter Riley the best!!!

This was a gift for my adult son, who is huge Chicago Cubs fan. If you're a fan, even if you don't cook, it's fun reading! He really enjoys it!

Gave this as a gift and my brother in law & sister couldn't have been happier. They are both huge fans and the recipes will be crowd-pleasers.

Awesome cookbook, especially if you're a Cubs fan. It is awesome having a Cubs player as your neighbor to have him autograph it prior to giving it to your son for Christmas! Wow! he was surprised.

Quite a few restaurant recipes, when I was expecting home type food. But then again, how often do some of Chicago's best restaurants offer up their recipes for us to see and try our hand at at home? As a die hard Cub fan, I couldn't resist, and I am glad I didn't.

Bought this cookbook for my son for Christmas...he loves to cook for his wife and being an avid Cub fan, I think he'll enjoy this immensely. Also the proceeds from this book go to the disease that Ryan Dempster's daughter is fighting. Buy one for your Cub fan, or any baseball fan and help Ryan's daughter and all others suffering with the disease.

This is a gift for my mother in law and just looking through it I love it!! Seeing new and old players and things that they like to cook was lots of fun! And you can not beat the price!

The books well designed illustration and pictorials makes for a special experiance when indulging into the many individual recipes.

What a great idea this was! Great recipes from all the players. It even includes unique ones from some of their home countries so you get a little bit of culture too. Now I need to wait for something from the Bears! Cookbook has quite a variety too, not just a few same type variations and it covers everything from breakfast to dessert!
