Black debris before, stains after, December 23, 2011
This review is from: Chicago Cutlery 12-inch by 16-inch Polyworks Poly Board (Kitchen)
I liked the size and feel of this board, nice weight and smooth, creamy-white material. However there were two problems with it:
1) it had two very noticeable black specks (literally looked like pieces of dirt) just underneath the otherwise pristine white surface of the board; the specks were impossible to remove without gouging out the board, but they were extremely noticeable.
2) it stained easily and the stains sunk in deep, impossible to remove.
This board did not show cutting marks as quickly as some others we have had but because it seemed so porous, locking in stains deep inside, I was concerned about how clean it was getting (or rather, not getting) so I threw it away.
At this time, Dexas Jelli boards are my favorite poly cutting boards, resisting both cutting marks and stains.
