out of all of my cutting boards i have, i love this one the most. it is a decent size. not too oversized, but just big enough for cutting up all types of vegetables and fruits. the thickness of it makes it easy to stand and dry on its own (which should always be done so a cutting board doesn't warp). not only is the board unique in the sense that it is two-tone, but it is also pretty difficult to stain. i have been using it for a while now and it still looks very good and i cut a lot. i recently purchased another one as a gift because i know the quality of it. there has been no splintering of the bamboo, no cracks yet, and no deep knife marks even with all of my mincing. i know i should use an oil to preserve it, but i haven't since i bought it two years ago and i am still impressed by the durability of it. for 25 bucks, i would definitely buy it again. thanks cc.

Not really too much you can say about a big ol' slab of wood, but I guess it's worth mentioning that I chose this board because it's visually appealing. It's snazzy, well-made and looks nice in my kitchen! If I had to find any cons to it, I guess it'd be that board is that is is incredibly large and rather heavy, but I knew what I was getting into with the dimensions clearly stated! Ultimately I satisfied with this purchase, it has held up well (no flaking or water damage) and looks nice! :)

Great medium sized board, good thickness and size for light- medium kitchen duty. The bamboo looks good it feels smooth and wont mess with your knives edge. I have been using wood boards for as long as I can remember don't like the plastic, glass or composite boards. I think natural wood or grass in this case is better overall and bamboo is becoming very popular as a green choice in cooking. So far I am satisfied with it, I do advise you to buy some kind of cutting board oil to condition your board before you use it. First wash it with warm water and dish soap, rinse and dry it. Place it standing up position to dry over night, get some coarse sea salt and a large lemon cut in half wipe the salt and lemon juice all over the board with your lemon half (sanitizing). Let it sit for 10-15 minutes rinse off and dry it, again let dry over night or 10-12 hours in the standing position. Warm up the cutting board oil (food grade virgin mineral oil) in the microwave for 15-25 seconds, wipe it on the board's surface got to do this 2-3 applications with 1 hour in between to let it set, wipe off excess before each new application of oil, do one side first and then move on to the other the whole board needs to be oiled. Your board is now clean, sanitized, conditioned and ready to use. Sanitize as needed, condition at least once a month one coat of cutting board oil should be enough or apply at your discretion.

I have three of these used everyday for more than a year. They've held up well - no splitting or warping and still look nice. I prefer wood to plastic or glass surfaces, being kind to good knives (unlike glass) and more stable in use and durable over time than plastic in my experience. Cleans up nicely using salt to remove stains and sanitize after meat. The only small issue I have is that they slide a bit on my counter-top; some way to prevent that would be helpful to me, though that would inevitably create a single rather than double-sided work surface.
