We bought this knife set for our daughter, who has recently taken a keen interest in cooking and realized she didn't have such good tools to properly prepare her foods and she requested a knife set for Christmas. I knew the best information I could get would be through Amazon and I proceeded to research all the choices. After visiting numerous sites, read the reviews, I found this terrific set of knives by Chicago Cutlery. Of course, Chicago Cutlery is a legend in the cutlery field, but after the reviews, loved the modern look of the set & the fantastic pricing, just couldn't pass this set up. Our daughter was thrilled with the appearance of this set on her cabinet top but the feel of the knives in her hand and the ease of preparing her foods, she is elated and so are we..

these are really good knives. If you treat them well, they will last forever. They are sharp, stay sharp and look good on the countertop. No one should toss knives in a dishwasher.. this is a novices mistake. handwash and dry and i think you will be happy with these knives too
