Performs As Expected...And More!,

I must say I was a bit skeptical about purchasing these Kitchen Shears...After all, they're definitely one of the cheaper if not cheapest pairs in terms of price that I've seen on Amazon. However, never fear! The scissors work like a charm. I've used them with chicken and other meats with no complaints. Recipe calls for chopped parsley? I get out the scissors and "snip, snip!" The scissors come apart at the hinge so you can stick them in the dishwasher separately and ensure they are fully clean and bacteria-free.The other features (screwdriver, bottle opener, etc.) are not necessary but can come in handy. The jar opener is not that great if you need to open a large jar, but I didn't buy these scissors to open jars so I still say, five stars!

<<<Gotta Have These>>>,

You Just Gotta Have A Pair OF These!!!This is my second pair of these scissors. The first pair was never returned after lending them to friends. They were missed very much in our household. They are very sharp and are very versatile around the home. Also work great in the garden for trimming Hosta and roses. The price is great too. Seen in outlet stores for $10.00. This would be a great gift for all the women on your shopping list. Also would be great for the handyman. Have never used the bottle opener or the other tool very much.

Love Them!,

Kitchen shears are great- a lot of stuff you see Julia Child working with a big knife? Just use these scissors. Butcher whole chickens, cut up green onions, leeks, it's just easier. I can't cut a bell pepper into pretty strips to save my life, so out come the scissors. Wonderful.I'm a huge fan of Chicago Cutlery; the quality is excellent and the price just astonishing for what you get. These scissors come apart at the middle for cleaning and steeling; do NOT put them in the dishwasher. I don't really understand the multi tool things on the handles and just use a bottle opener on bottles; but the quality/ price/ convenience of these scissors says Buy Them Now.

Scissors went well with the Metropolitan knifes that I also purchased.,

I purchased this pair of scissors to go with the Chicago Cutlery Metropolitan 10-Piece Block Set. This set did not come with the scissors. I have been very please with the scissors performance and with the way they match the metropolitan collection.

These are the coolest scissors I ever had. So easy to clean and use. I love that they do allot more then just cutting. They are so perfect.

Super Sharp,

They're scissors - they cut, they're sharp and you can take them apart for cleaning. It can be a bit awkward getting used to avoiding the screwdriver, etc on the ends of the handles - but that's not a legitimate complaint. Definitely worth the less than $10 I paid for it.

One of the best designs on the market,

I have been impressed with the Walnut tradition and Insignia2 shears from Chicago Cutlery. These are a departure from the other brands of kitchen shears in a few ways: 1. They do come apart. I like this feature on the insignia and walnut tradition lines as it allows for easy cleaning (like when cutting raw meat). Other brands seem to lack this feature. 2. They have the multitool can opener and screw driver attached to the handle. (I find these tools useful in the kitchen - especially the can opener.) Other brands seem to lack this feature. 3. The insignia2 and walnut lines come in black, brown, red, blue. Other brands come in fewer colors. I have used these scissors for trimming meat, vegetables, and flower stems. They also work great on tough beef jerky. The shears' blades are forged on all the chicago cutlery shears lines. All in all, I like the Walnut Tradition and Insignia2 models better than other brands for the reasons above. Some of the best designed kitchen shears onthe market at affordable price. If you buy only one pair of shears buy this one.

Good for cutting fish bone or chicken. To me grip is not very comfortable while applying force.

I've only had these about 2 weeks and the blades are rusting already. I wouldn't purchase these again!

Disappointing,

I was looking for a good, solid pair of scissors for use in the kitchen. These are awkward, especially with the bottle opener and screwdriver tips poking out of the handles. They interfere with comfortable, ordinary cutting. Also, the blades do come apart for cleaning, but too easily. If you open the scissors in the wrong way, they fall apart in your hands. I don't recommend these.
