5.0 out of 5 stars Chicago Cutlery Rocks
I have been using this paring knife for over 50 years. My mom and dad had one, and I now have one. Chicago cutlery is the best value in knives. This paring knife is perfectly balanced and just the right shape and length. I would never use any other paring knife. I bought a high end paring knife, and it broke with in a year. Could have bought 10 of these for the same...

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty thin blade
I was a little disappointed with this knife. I have had case knives for years and had lost my small one so was replacing it. I was pushing the blade through some semi-frozen meat (which I have done many times) and when the blade went through it bent in two places. I've never had it do that before. This blade is quite a bit thinner than my old one.

This is a very nice knife. It is comfortable to use and the wood is beautiful. Just be sure to hand wash to keep the wood in good shape.

Well, it is Chicago Cutlery, so sharp is what you get!! I love the traditional edges on these and have never been a fan of serrated edges except for my steak knives. Due to the natural wood, you need to keep the handles oiled or they will dry out. They hold an edge very well, but keep your rattail handy for when it burrs down. Overall, very happy with this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars comfortable in my hand, March 8, 2011

I have osteoarthritis in my hands. This knife has a chunky wood handle which makes it easier for me to hold versus a thinner handled one. It's very comfortable for me to peel potatoes the way I'm accustomed to peeling them. I ordered this knife for this reason and I'm very pleased with it.

My mom had one of these knives for as long as I could remember and then it finally saw its last tomato. I bought her 2 for Christmas and she said it was the best present she got this year!! Chicago Cutlery is always a good choice. Buyer was A++++; shipping/packaging was top notch.

I really like this paring knife. It is the easiest paring knife to use because of the handle and angle of the knife blade. I have had one for over 20 years and I used it so much I decided to buy a few more. The original knife is still in excellent condition, only the wood part in a little faded. Wonderful knife.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic, durable, and quality!, January 10, 2012

We received a set of Chicago Cutlery as a wedding gift - 28 years ago. (We were 20, had no furniture, and this was very very cool for us at the time - very fancy!)

Fast-forward 28 years, multiple moves, two boys. The Chicago Cutlery is still hanging in there, still looks great, still holds an edge. We had to replace a couple over the years (mostly due to kiddos and "prying things" with the tips.)

This was a replacement. Looked/felt/cut just like the original, and matched all its peers in the drawer.

Thank you Chicago Cutlery! Great long-lived tools that have done many tasks over the years.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favorite knives, January 10, 2012

This is a great little paring knife. I have owend this model for over 30 years. I have lost one or two and broken the tip off another. Each time I find myself without the knife, I seek out a new one and snap it up.

This order was to replacle a knife that was lost during a period of peeling pears. We had looked at several stores that sold kitchen knives and no one had it. I turned to the computer and found the knife in just a couple of minutes. Thanks for your service (Amazon.com)

I ordered 4 of these paring knives as I am unable to find these in my area. I have long been a fan of Chicago cutlery. Their craftsmanship and quality of their products is wonderful. In today's marketplace, it is hard to find quality kitchen knives at a reasonable price...until now. Handles are a beautiful walnut wood and riveted to last a lifetime. I love the stainless blade and it is so sharp. I would recommend this item to anyone looking for a quality paring knife.
