Walnut Tradition is Chicago Cutlery's bestselling line, and this set of six 4-inch steak knives in a wood block demonstrate why. Although the knives are stamped, not forged, their blades are made of high-carbon stainless steel that takes and holds a sharp edge. In addition, these knives have full tangs for balance and strength, and their handsome handles are made of hand-finished walnut with solid brass rivets. These knives are designed to slice the biggest porterhouse into bite-size pieces--and they're also perfectly appropriate for any chop or roast. The solid wood block protects the blades when they're not in use and looks good on the counter or sideboard as well. To protect the blades and keep the handles spiffy, the knives should be hand washed in soapy water. This knife set carries a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

I have had these knives for 24 years (wedding gift), we had six but over the years have lost them along the way. I still reach for this knife first, sadly we are down to only one but will be buying more soon. I love this knife because it is NOT serrated. Never had to have them sharpened either. If you are considering buying them DO IT. You won't regret it.

Very pleased with these knives, they are very sharp. Perfect for those steaks coming off the grill!
