This pan is the best thing ever!! Provided the pan is well greased and the bottom lined with baking paper, each and every cake is a success. Tip: Overfill the pan and cut the excess off before turning out the cake. This way you get a nice flat bottom for the cake.

This pan makes delightful little cakes that are easy to make but make others think you have spent ages baking.

This is a very sturdy, top quality product. The metal is extremely thick. Makes adorable little cakes. I'd say about 2-3 servings per cake. I was hoping it was 1 serving per cake, but it was bigger than expected.

Some tips:

-It will take AT LEAST one box of store-bought cake batter to fill the 4 cakes. They don't tell you this in the "instructions" provided. They were a little bigger than I hoped/anticipated.

-Fill up the cake to a little above the bottom of the bottom tier (the biggest tier, which will be on top when baking). Do not overfill!! it will overflow.

-They are tough to ice, but I assume most people would expect this.

-Do not let water sit in it to soak, it may start rusting. Mine did, but I don't see this as a product problem, just a learning experience.

First off, item shipped immediately, got here on time, and was properly packaged and perfect when it got here.

As for the product, it is great. The first 20 cakes I made (first 5 times I used this) I would bake the cakes, take them out of the oven, toss the cake pan in the freezer for about a minute, take it out, put a cutting board on top of it, and flip it over. Every time, each cake slid right out, looked perfect, and was easy to frost. When using a cake mix (+3 eggs, oil and water) the mix will distribute evenly into each mold to fill it about 70% - when the cakes come out of the oven, they all have expanded about half an inch over the top of the pan, and I gently cut the cake bottoms off evenly, and it's perfect. Great product, great seller! I probably cook for somewhere between 20 and 40 people each week, and everyone absolutely loves these. Thanks!

This was a really great cake pan. The cakes were done perfectly. I did have to cut the bottom to make them level when i flipped them over to decorate, but the pan was easy to use and easy to clean.

We got this for my 5 year old for Christmas because she's really into cakes and cake decorating, and I really wanted to let her work with real baking tools, not practically disposable children's appliances like Easy Bake oven (no offense--I had one when I was a kid and loved it, but as an adult it seems like a scam to me. Do people really buy all that many refill packets? How tasty are the products? I'll have to read the reviews, I guess.)

With a box of regular cake mix, a tub of white frosting, dye and the Easy Bake decorator pen (a much more practical item than the oven), she has been able to make a doll birthday cake and three volcano birthday cakes for a dinosaur-themed party. She was over the moon! We are already planning to bake two sets of four cakes and buy another decorator pen set for her birthday so she can invite six little friends over (#7 is her 4 year old sister). Each kid can then decorate their own cake to take home! As for my daughter, she wants to make another set of cakes as turrets for her Great Wall of China birthday cake (we homeschool; my home is all about dinosaurs and China right now.) The sky is the limit--so glad I have a great product to let her imagination take flight.

I love this cake pan, but if you're going to frost it I recommend cutting the cakes apart, slick on a little butter cream and then cover with fondant which was way easier than trying to smooth butter cream on these tiny cakes. Have to have lots of patience if you go the butter cream route, unless you pipe stars or something over the whole cake. Which is easier than trying to smooth butter cream.

Baking: After 20 mins I stuck metal skewers in the middle to help it bake more evenly, I think it helped. Yes, grease liberally and flour, the cakes came right out. I baked for 35 to 45 mins @ 325degrees as it is a dark pan.

Decorating: Judging by my pictures, less is more, fondant is better (even if the cake is a little crooked)and patience is a virtue that I don't have much of.

After all that I still LOVE my cake pan and know what to do next time so I won't be soooo tired.

Great product! I love these pans and use them regularly. They cut the time and hassle out of cutting individual tiers, and there is no wasted cake! I highly recommend them! Cakes bake even and pop right out! You can even cut the tiers and stack different flavors.

This is a totally fun and unique way to make cakes. I bought the product knowing that the cakes would be small, and they are. I really wanted to practice piping and decorating with fondant, since I am new to cake decorating. Perfect for this! I plan to use it for my own upcoming bridal shower, since I love baking, and instead of the typical "lingerie" party, we're going to have a "bakery" party. We will all decorate our own cakes with icing, maybe fondant. (I read about the bridal shower/birthday party from other reviewers - great ideas!!)

The only thing I had difficulty with is the amount to pour into the pan. I decided to use boxed mixes, since I was technically experimenting. My first fumble was filling the cakes to the very top, and boy, was it a mess! We had cake pouring out of the pan (I put a cookie sheet under when I noticed the impending rising!). The cakes were actually beautiful, and I just shaved off the bottom layer before I took them out of the pan. The next batch was better, though this time I filled according to the directions (haha!) and it seemed like I could only get three cakes fully filled and one about 3/4 filled. So I dipped into the others just a bit to level the last one. The cakes were not as tall as my first batch. So I am going to try an in-between. I guess I will have to use more than one box of mix? Anyways, it takes some experimenting and if you have time do do it, go at it! The directions for a cake that came with the pan may offer more even proportions, but I have not tried that cake yet.

Great pan! I love it. When sprayed, the cakes pop out easily once the pan has cooled. The cakes are adorable. Would definitely recommend!

this pan makes the most adorable cakes! they are a nice size too. Each one always comes out perfect. I suggest filling it a little more then the directions say so you can cut the bottom so it is flat. Love this pan!
