5.0 out of 5 stars ignore the silly negative reviews
A lot of folks who don't understand commercial products have left misleading feedback.

This is a professional cookie sheet--no frills. It's heavy enough not to warp but no heavier. It's designed for a specific amount of browning. Bakers who want less browning typically stack a pair of rimmed half sheet pans to create some insulation. Bakers wanting more...

1.0 out of 5 stars Pans warp in 350 F oven
I purchased two of these pans and both of them they started to warp within 5 minutes of being placed in a 350 F oven. The two opposite corners would warp up several inches causing an uneven baking surface. Once I take the pans out of the oven, the pans relax and are flat again.

Terrible product as it is difficult to evenly cook anything when the pans fold...

5.0 out of 5 stars ignore the silly negative reviews, September 25, 2006
This review is from: Chicago Metallic Commercial 14-by-16-Inch Cookie Sheet (Kitchen)

Bakers wanting more browning use blackened steel (even thinner than these).

To the person who smelled "toxic fumes"--you have to WASH IT before you put food on it and put it in your oven. Just as you would with any cookware. You smelled machining oils getting cooked. Yum.

To the person who complained about food sticking: it's not non-stick. Pros almost never use non-stick bakeware. They use parchment. Buy some, you'll like it.

Come on guys. If you're going to buy a professional product, do some research before complaining.

5.0 out of 5 stars Throw away all of your other cookie sheets, March 3, 2001
This review is from: Chicago Metallic Commercial 14-by-16-Inch Cookie Sheet (Kitchen)
These cookie sheets are made to last! They are extremely heavy, and this larger commerical size is perfect for baking large batches of cookies. These cookie sheets are solid, and can take plenty of use! They do not rust, discolor, but always maintain their original shape. If you make cookies on a regular basis, this cookie sheets would fit your needs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Browning, August 1, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Chicago Metallic Commercial 14-by-16-Inch Cookie Sheet (Kitchen)
Its hard to find a non-coated cookie sheet anymore. But if you're looking for a perfectly browned cookie, then this is what you need. Usually, with the darker non-stick cookie sheets, when the tops look ready the bottoms are a little overdone. With this cookie sheet, the tops and bottoms will be exactly the same color. And don't worry about it not being non-stick; for me the cookies slide right off with only about 2 or 3 crumbs stuck to the entire sheet when I'm done--even with no greasing or waxed paper. It is just as easy to clean as a non-stick. All in all, you'll get a better cookie sheet for less price, because you're not paying for a non-stick coating.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Cookie Sheet, September 18, 2005
This review is from: Chicago Metallic Commercial 14-by-16-Inch Cookie Sheet (Kitchen)
These cookie sheets are very sturdy, and hold up well. The glue is very easy to remove...just stick them in a 400 deg oven for a minute or two...the glue will just wipe away.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Perfect Cookie/Baking Sheet !, February 17, 2004
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Chicago Metallic Commercial 14-by-16-Inch Cookie Sheet (Kitchen)
I just recently purchased this item and the first thing I baked were chocolate chip cookies for my daughter. I have to say that when I took my cookies out of the oven they were baked evenly and they looked great! This product worked alot better than I had expected. When I decided to purchase this item I was looking for a cookie sheet that wasn't non-stick because the non-stick ones don't last very long and can get scratched up very easily. So if you're considering this product don't hesitate, it's definitely worth every penny !

5.0 out of 5 stars A Joy To Use, December 26, 2002

I bought this on a whim about a year ago and have never regretted it. While I'm not an expert on -- or even experienced about -- a wide variety of baking sheets, I have really enjoyed this product and am hankering after another (one is not enough)! I can sympathize with the reviewer who claims these sheets have turned baking into a joy for her. This sheet bears no resemblance to the standard tinny, bendy, rusty hardware-store variety. Enjoy!!

Was looking for replmnt for Mirro ones that are 20+yrs old. Ordered these...they are great...no discoloring/no warping..had two problems tho...one is that they are NOT 16 x 14..wanted to match my other size but they are actually 14-1/2 x 12..wish I would have known so I would have ordered larger size....but again, product itself is really really good and you need the shiny sheets to brown cookies correctly!!!Take it from a cookie baking fool, these are a premium product and worth the cost, which is not all that expensive!!

5.0 out of 5 stars So far SO GOOD!!, December 3, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Chicago Metallic Commercial 14-by-16-Inch Cookie Sheet (Kitchen)
Let me start by saying... I can't bake. (or couldn't anyway)
I am a good cook - and love to be in the kitchen - but baking, cookies and whatnot - that's a different story. I decided to be brave and try baking some Christmas Cookies so I thought I'd buy a new cookie sheet to replace my old rusty sheets. I have NO idea about such things and didn't know what to buy - but based on cost and reviews I gave one of these a try. For the first time EVER my cookies came out perfectly golden brown and slid right off the sheet. I usually burn 1/2 and break 1/2 - but EVERY cookie was perfect. I have already bought a second sheet and have baked about 6 batches of cookies on them. I have run them through the dishwasher several times... and forgotten to wash them right away once :)... And they have proven to be foolproof (I would know) both on the baking and the clean-up end. Do yourself a favor and get a couple of these. I know they are perfect for the beginning baker, and would assume they'd be great for all skill levels. I used to hate baking - and now my cookies are a hit! I have actually been enjoying baking - which is something I NEVER thought I'd say... and if a cookie sheet can make that happen - believe me - it's worth it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great pans!, November 15, 2006
This review is from: Chicago Metallic Commercial 14-by-16-Inch Cookie Sheet (Kitchen)
I have 4 of these cookie sheets, and am ordering more. I bake in quantity, and these sheets are the only ones I've found that don't warp when heated, and that come clean without intense effort. They also maintain a very consistent heat, so that all the cookies on the sheet brown at the same time.

Ok, so mabye the title is alittle much, but only barely. I have several CM products, and all are of excellent build, and professionl quality.

14 by 16-inches sounded too big to me, but when I used it, it's really a good size.
