I love the set - works really well - but I broke a ramekin and Chicago Metallic doesn't offer extra ramekins to fit in the wire rack. They are supposed to be 6-oz ramekins and the closest I could find were 6-oz ramekins from HIC - but those just barely do NOT fit in the set's wire rim - so now my set only makes 3 brulees at a time. If you buy this set - don't break any ramekins because as far as I can tell they are not replaceable.

I live waaaaay out in the country, but have developed quite a taste for Creme Brulee. So, on a trip to the city, I got this set. It worked great. Easy to use and handle.The rack for the custard cups made it easy to move the custard from the oven without getting scalded by the water bath. Everything cleaned up well. Of course, I had to get a flame thrower to burn the sugar, but I loved it. If you have the room, a great buy.

I used to make creme brulee the old fashioned way and always ended up with water in at least one ramekin. That ruins your efforts. The kit's metal rack holds the tops of the ramekins above the water level, so water cannot get in and ruin your dessert. The rack also allows you to remove the ramekins from the hot water without scalding yourself; It's a clever design. I ended up buying a second kit for Holiday Dinners. The ramekins & metal parts all clean easily in the sink, so don't put them in the dishwasher. The kit comes with a recipe that tastes great and makes exactly the right amount...try it. I wish someone would make a similar kit for flan.

Well, I took for granted when it says on the box dishwasher safe. The pan had areas of rust and the metal surface changed colors. Still works fine, but wish I had handwashed and immediately dried.

I like this product. The only think you really have to concern yourself with when creating creme brulee is the time in the oven. Everything else is pretty much taken care of.

The unit is heavy duty and good quality.

My husband's favorite dessert is Creme Brulee, so I added this set to my Amazon wish list and received it for my birthday. I had never made Creme Brulee before and was a little intimidated, knowing what a critic my husband was of this delicious dessert. It occurred to me that the whole set was probably a little over the top because you can purchase individual ramekins and use any pan for a bain marie (water bath), but once I actually used this set, I was so happy to have it. The metal insert that holds the ramekins is really a godsend. It allows you to lift the ramekins out of the hot water without any concern of burning yourself or spilling hot water all over the place. Once the ramekins have cooled, I just transferred the rack directly into the fridge until they were completely cooled. I definitely recommend this product for anyone stepping into the world of Creme Brulee.

This set makes making Brulee much easier for me. I have MS and doing the typical waterbath setup is harder and more difficult for me to manage. Otherwise a great brulee is made using set with limitations only by the chef. Can't wait to try more brulee variations.

I bought 2 of these sets and the wire rack on one does not fit quite right over the pan edges. As a result, the rack is a little skewed and the content of the ramekins ends up solidifying at an angle. Other than that, I can't really complain. A reasonable set for the money.

The product arrived in lightening speed and the ramekins are great but the pan rusted on my first time using it. That said I do like the wire tray but it makes the creme brūlée have to cook longer. I recommend the product but I recommend you use another 8" pan besides the one provided.

I purchased two sets, and use them a lot. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is that the dishes could be a little bigger. Over all, I am very happy with them.
