This pan seemed to be the ideal solution to the constant problem I had with brownies that were difficult to cut into any semblance of consistent servings. The first one or two times I used it, it seemed to do what it proclaimed to be its purpose, but, it seems that the more I use it the less it functions. The brownies stick to the bottom and the sides of the compartments and I still have to wrestle the edges away with a knife. I often have to push the brownies through with my fingers, resulting in the broken and crumbling bits that I bought this pan to avoid. This occurs despite the fact that I generously spray every nook and cranny with vegetable spray every time I use the pan. Furthermore, it is a PAIN to clean and requires a good long soak and scrupulous scrubbing with nylon pads to get the gunk out of each...and...every...corner...and...surface...of...each..and..every..square. Sigh!

I LOVE this brownie pan! This pan makes perfect brownies! I don't find that the interior brownies taste like "edges", but that's good. Each brownie has a clean edge on each side. I no longer have brownie chunks all over the knife I would use to cut them.

The "ice cube tray" design works nicely to divide into even sections and removes easily. However, we bought this pan instead of the "maze" design, hoping the insert would created a 4-sided chewy crust to each brownie. IT DOES NOT DO THIS. And it's NOT fun to clean.

If you are looking for a pan that created brownies with "edges", this isn't it. If you want to have brownies, cornbread or other things in neat little rectangles (too big for bite-sized, too small for a serving) then this is it.

But for our purposes -- brownies with an edge on every side --- this is not the pan. I'm off to buy the original one that looks like a maze... and I don't appreciate those who reviewed this as being "better" for that purpose, so I wanted to make it clear to future purchasers!!!

I used this maybe 5 times...horrible. the metal seems to have misshaped...and now, batter comes out the bottom...and I hand wash it, i dont put it in the dishwasher.
I have since donated it to goodwill.

If you're looking at the TV version forget it. This one is better quality, better design, isn't 'tinny' and frail like the TV version, takes up less storage space and the size of the 'brownies' works out much better for all recipes. It's no contest. I gave away my TV version.

This is a great pan! I was eager to try it and found it to be even better than I expected. Be sure to spray all the surfaces before pouring in the batter, is the only caution I have.

This brownie pan makes baking brownies very easy. The brownies come out looking beautiful but hard as rock. Evidently the extra metal surfaces make them bake much faster than normal. After the first batch that came out inedible, I tried reducing the baking time but the brownies still came out very hard. It will obviously be a trial and error process. But once I get the baking time right, it should be wonderful.

3 parts to this pan so instead of cleaning one pan you clean 3. Ok, I figured this could be an issue so I won't diss the product for that.
What I will say is, the piece that separates the brownies has many corners that are difficult to clean. There is also the hanger like piece of metal along the sides where you can find pieces of brownies stuck between that and the pan itself.
No where on the box it says, diswasher safe but if it was it would be a God send.

I received this as a gift. For this reason it's good b/c it's a luxury item I would never buy myself. I mean I had a brownie cutter called a knife that did a good job. I'm just warning you, be ready to clean the nooks and crannies.

Like I said it does the job. I find storing it is a bit of a problem, too many pieces.
I thought that It would make crusty edges on the brownies but they end up like perfect cuts all around.
Best if you want perfect looking brownies or muffins or even cupcakes.

You may be correct whether you said yes or no. It's 3 months since I baked in this pan. The first attempt was a failure in that it took SO long to clean the 3 parts, even though they are coated for total release. I kept saying I will try it again because it may have been my fault. Trouble is, after cleaning the other 2 pans (I have reviewed them also)that are both similar in design, I didn't want to take the chance that the brownies would stick to all the parts the way it did on the first attempt (as it did on the other 2 pans also). You can call me a coward but MAYBE some day I'll try baking brownies in this pan again, but not now. If YOU do, I wish you better luck than I had.
