After a year or so, water never dried in those seams and the metal started to rust.

Do not waste your money on these. I put these on my wedding registry and have finally thrown them out. They are strong, indeed; however, the metal is seamed on the corners, so that whatever you are baking gets stuck in the seams and is impossible to get clean. After a year or so, water never dried in those seams and the metal started to rust.

What I looked for in a replacement was one piece of metal in the construction, so that food is easy to clean out of the pan. Wilton makes great ones for half the cost.

I purchased these mini loaf pans because they are made in America, and I am VERY happy with them! The non-stick coating works very well. I made zucchini bread and it literally slid out of the pan when inverted. They cleaned up well in the dishwasher as well. The only downside is that, because they are a folded construction, some batter stuck in the corner so it was a little more difficult than a standard pan to clean by hand.

I decided to give all my friends a different baked good every month for a whole year. Since many of the planned goodies are going to be in loaf form, I decided to buy two sets of these loaf pans - I didn't want to spend too much money, and the price was good. I am very pleased with the product. I have baked several batches of various kinds of breads and cakes in them, and every time, they bake up perfectly even. The pan heats evenly, so there are no burnt or under-cooked areas. They are also quite heavy, which probably contributes to the even baking. The size is perfect for a loaf for two. I can highly recommend these pans.

I bought these because I wanted to use them for the holidays. They looked lovely, they were the perfect size for my needs, and I was extremely satisfied with the product until I pulled out my loaves out of the pans. The batter had baked into the corner seams and was impossible to clean completely. If I had kept them, over time this would be a major sanitary concern! NOT recommended. Get another set of pans that doesn't have sharp corners with seams.

I have had these mini loaf pans as purchased from Bed, Bath and Beyond for several years.

They produce nice loaves. However, these pans have spent more time in the cabinet due to the cleaning issue where the dough or batter, depending on whether you are cooking yeast or quick breads.

Unfortunately, batter and dough tend to get stuck where the metal is folded to form the shape of these pans. I have now switched to the USA individual mini loaf pans and report they are wonderful.

Although the USA mini loaf pans are twice the price as the Chicago Metallic, they produce a better result and are easy to clean.

I was hesitant about purchasing the pans on-line. The price was right and so was the no shipping. I got them in time for a gift and for my own personal use. They are wonderful. I am going to buy some more of the pans for birthday gifts. All of my friends cook and they will be perfect.

Items bake beautifully in these pans. But, the metal folds at the ends means you must wait until the pans are really dry before using. You'll likely have to bake the pans to ensure they are really dry before storing (and before using immediately after any washing). Water continued to seep out of the corners for at least 20 minutes after I thought the items were dry and ready to use. Using them for multiple bakes of items in one day for a bake sale caused inordinate delay to turn the pans for the next bake. Another commented about water which lead to rusting. If this is a worry, consider one-piece pressed construction with no folds.

I just love these little pans. They are made of good thick metal. I am a widow who still likes to cook. I can make four banana loafs, bread - regular or corn. I can freeze the rest or give them to my three grandchildren next door. I especially like to make corn bread in them, dump out and slice thin. These are good eaten the regular way with bean soup, etc, but for breakfast heat the slices in the toaster oven and use a little good Maple syrup - like a pancake substitute.
