This is a tremendously powerful air hammer. I kept asking my tool dealer for the strongest one available for the automotive repair market and this is what he brought me. I bought mine about 5 or 6 years ago from a Matco Tools dealer and I paid over $700, then the chisel and hammer and cutting bits cost me extra. The price here is easily a couple hundred less than I paid for the same tool. My unit is the traditional polished steel, and not painted red like this one. I have never came across a job, where this tool was called for and failed to live up to it's reputation. King pins on heavy trucks, springs, front end work, cutting with a cutting chisel, mufflers and exhaust and the list goes on. Sometimes it was just too much power. The only drawback being the heavy vibration and shock leads to a fatigued hand and wrist, maybe minor shock injury. Just be careful using it, and avoid prolonged use. I will not hold it against this tool because that's like crying that an elephant gun has too much kick. It comes with the territory. My work buddy had one where the case cracked due to the hard pounding unleashed by the machine. This leaked air badly. The job bought him a new one, but we were unable to get another case for it. Wanna be the man with the baddest air hammer in the business? This one's for you.

I was first suspicious about the price, but I have spent double that on buying and replacing crappy tools. I purchased this off a recommendation from an auto body guy. He said he was tired of buying low powered crap from china. He told me his lasted over 10 years with daily use and has the same power. I used mine for medium duty truck spring bushing removal. This thing hits hard without the vibration or user fatigue from the cheap ones. NOTE: Buy the .498" bits when you order this. They are impossible to find but are what is needed for this tool to work properly. The cheap harbor freight or home depot bits don't work. They rattle around and don't fit right. If you're tired of constantly being frustrated with cheap air hammers, quit buying them over and over while supporting our enemies (Communist China)! This is made in Japan of high quality materials!
