This CD is brilliant. The variety of style and mood leaves you in a hypnotic state. A "must have" to complete any music collection.

This is a fantastic solo album from a regular contributor to the Chicago blues, jazz and jive scene. Best known for his work with legendary bluesman Sunnyland Slim and the outrageously popular jumpin' jivin' Mighty Blue Kings, Sam has blended all his saxophone influences into one terrific album. A must-have for enthusiasts in the know and equally to people interested in expanding their musical horizons.

"Chicago Swing" is a great motivator! If you've ever had the opportunity to see and hear Sam play in person, then this cd will take you right back to that moment when you first heard the soulful notes of his sax. Everything that is Sam is poured out into the music, and as a listener, you feel every vibration. A wonderful way to spend some time; reflecting, dancing, smiling, and enjoying life.

For me this album from Sam Burckhardt is just fabulous. One of the few albums which I always listen till the end. No track is less interesting than the next one! This album I bring as a present to friends. I adore it! Thank you for such wonderful music, Sam.
