Just Right Crosswords,

The Chicago Tribune Sundays are my favorite crossword puzzle. They are interesting, moderate difficulty, and fun. There is a theme to each puzzle. Once you figure out just what's up with the theme, it's fairly easy to get the longer answers. This collection of 250 puzzles is a great deal. I've paid about the same for a book of 50 of these.

The Chicago Tribune's crosswords are rated as medium fare for crossword devotees. They're not too easy but quite eclectic in word scope. Nearly every crossword will try to trip you up, but persevere "me crossword hearty's" for Wayne Robert Williams has edited a neat bunch of sunday puzzlers for your pleasure.

Where's The Next Volume?,
This review is from: Chicago Tribune Sunday Crossword Omnibus (The Chicago Tribune) (Paperback)
This book was the most perfect I've found yet, though I suspect crossword puzzles are a highly subjective thing, based upon one's solving skill. I would say, using The NY Times as a reference, that I fall into the "medium" category; I find "Mondays" too easy to bother with, find "Wednesdays" just the right amount of challenge, and start to get frustrated on "Thursdays". These puzzles are really large and while the answers are unique and often clever, one needn't have a PhD to solve them. The value, as others have mentioned, is phenomenal! I can't seem to find anything comparable and I did my last puzzle last week. Any suggestions?

My husband and I love crosswords and this book was a hit with us. Not too hard not too easy. And not too many made-up words that you'd never guess in a million years.

This Chicago Tribune book should not be rated medium. Many of the answers only a Jeopardy champion could get. Some make no sense even after you look up the answers. Don't not buy this book unless you want to be frustrated.
